The snowboard contest was the first of three livestreaming projects for TheGreatBoarders project. This event took place on the Parnassos mountain in Fterolaka ski resort. It was a two day event that included two main concepts: (a) the filming of free runs of the competitors, the editing in sub clips, the uploading to the TGB platform and finally the internet voting though Facebook Likes from remote audience (b) the planning, organizing and delivering the live streaming of the contest For the live streaming production we used an outside broadcast van, with four cameras and live video mixing. The live broadcast included a commentary to local and Internet audiences. Furthermore when live, we presented videos from the previous day as well as live replays from best moves and highlights during the live streaming of the contest. The live streaming was presented through The Great Boarders platform, and it was based on a Liveloop iframe. This included Twitter feed which we updated in real time, and message submission from the Internet audience. These messages where delivered to the event MC and he presented them live to the local audience giving emphasis to user interaction. For this project we undertook the production of the TVC of the contest which was presented to specific national TV stations. Last but not least, we provided and installed basic and standby high speed Internet lines to the event area in mountain Parnassos, and the project was streamed from our content delivery network using main and standby encoding systems. This project was broadcasted from:
